Group B: The Francophone culture is varied and rooted in the history of its places, politics and geography on the one hand and its people and artists on the other. This is a co-working participative group, using many practical ways of revising and widening understanding of the language via its words, grammar, humour, colloquialisms, music/songs, poetry, art, sort stories, etc. The material is adjusted to the group’s interests as much as possible, and may include a game element. People have differing ways of learning and abilities vary, so material is provided that is suitable for all levels of old school or recent French. Along the way there is an emphasis on pronunciation and listening skills, via readings, which help to avoid misunderstandings, and hopefully increases the ability to talk about some favorite topics. There is a gazette available regularly, and a WhatsApp group.
The cost of refreshments/occasional printing is small.
We meet usually on the first and third Thursday morning of the month.
