The first day trip of 2026 is to Penshurst Place on the 15th May 2026.
The cost is £32 per person and is open to members only. Closing date is the 1st April 2026 and
payment must be paid to confirm your place. If all places are confirmed there will be a waiting list.
Penshurst Place is an English Heritage house and a member of HHA. The garden is an RHS
garden, but unfortunately these concessions cannot be used with a group booking.
We will meet at the bottom of George V Avenue by the shelter at 8.45 for a 9.00.
departure. There will be a comfort stop and we hope to arrive at approximately 11.00. We will
have approximately 4.00 hours there and you will be free to plan your day to suit you. We hope to
leave at 3pm and be back in Worthing around 5pm.
Please have your mobile phone with you on the trip in case you become separated from the group and make a note of my number below. Please bring your old membership card (if you have one, or print off a new one from the website) with the ‘In Case of Emergency’ details filled in on the reverse side, and please make sure your emergency contact details are up to date on the website so the Leader has a printed copy available.
Cancellation, Refunds and Insurance
Please note a booking is not confirmed until full payment has been made. Should you need
to cancel your booking there will be no guarantee of a refund. Only if there is a waiting list may
this be possible but, if not, you can ask another u3a member to purchase your ticket and inform
the Day Trip organiser so records can be amended with their details. If the event is cancelled
permanently by Worthing u3a, a full refund will be made.
Worthing u3a (‘the u3a’) covers only public liability insurance for trips. Worthing u3a aims to provide maximum safety for all participants on Worthing u3a's coach trips.
By applying to come on the trip you will be agreeing to the above.
